Let me share this with you: A Sufi saint said: “Sacrifice is like the fountain of pure water which sparkles with love and has been cleansed of all negative attributes of intolerance, anger, cruelty, and dishonesty.” We all realise the numerous sacrifices our parents made for us. They and their forefathers had sacrificed their lives for their families, communities and humanity to provide a better future for our generation and beyond. They taught us that overcoming grievances and intolerance against each other is the spirit of sacrifice that lends to harmony and strengthens our inner spiritual and moral resources and develop qualities of character which are essential to our struggle at every level of our existence. Eid al-Adha Mubarak to all my brothers and sisters in Islam.
